Ownership Requirement

To maintain your Italian residence permit:

• You cannot sell the property and withdraw the funds.

• If you sell the apartment, the full sale amount must remain in a bank account in Italy.

• These funds must then be used to purchase another property of equal or greater value.

 Banking Time Limit

• The sale proceeds may remain in the bank for a maximum of 10 months.

• If you do NOT purchase a new qualifying property within 10 months,

the residence permit is automatically revoked.

Family Residency

• The owner’s spouse and dependent children also receive residence permits.

Path to Citizenship

• After 5 years of legal continuous residency, you may apply for Italian citizenship according to national regulations.
